Hello Group,
I am trying to accomplish the following using Tasker:
A Profile was created to send customized SMS messages notifying my contacts of my new phone number. That Profile works perfectly in testing; have not used actual data as yet.
Now what I would like is for Tasker to delete the line after it confirms that the SMS was sent to the contact For example:
James,5555555555.
When Tasker sends an SMS to James I want Tasker to delete the line in the file. This way the only lines that are left (if any) are for contacts that Tasker did not send a message to (perhap becase Tasker my have skipped the file). For those lines that are left I will re-run the profile in a couple days.
Right now the only way for me to know who the SMS was sent to is to manually compare the contents of the file to what is listed on my SMS app. There has got to be a way for Tasker to atleast delete the lines in the file so I know who got an SMS. Now I will imagine not all the contacts that was sent an SMS will respond.
Any suggestions to help with this will be greatly appreciated.
