Help How to delete photos from Galaxy S5's gallery but not from sd card?

Every time I delete from my gallery my photos get deleted from my sd card. I have tried several apps but no luck. I am trying to free up gallery and place the photos in folders I have created in my sd card. Thank you.

The gallery just collects and reflects your photos stored in well-known places. It presents thumbnails by processing with the Media server (by any name) visible under your Apps management under your main settings.

As a picture viewer, yes, it will delete the actual picture files.

Iow - the Gallery doesn't duplicate your photos, it simply provides a viewer and manager for them.
