How to Disable the MLT app in the F60(and other LG Devices)

LG Fanatic

This is an app that runs the background logging information about your cellphone use among other things. Disabling it(as I have for my past LG devices) helps your phone run smoother as well freeing up RAM. Here are the steps to disable it.

1. In the phone app dial the number 3845#*395#(for Metro PCS F60 users). That three digit number between the "*#" is your LG phone's model number. For example the F60's model number is LGMS395. For Metro PCS L70 users their phones model number is MSM323. So the number for them would be 3845#*323#.

2. When the numbers are dialed, you'll be taken to a hidden menu. Just scroll down until you see "MLT Test". Uncheck the box for "Enable MLT will run after rebooting".

3. Once that's done, simply reboot your phone and you should experience a smoother, faster user experience in your LG android device.

I just did this after reading this thread and haven't really noticed a difference. Device is LG F60.

What does "MLT" mean, anyway?

The F60 is a pretty fast and fluid device already so I can see users not noticing any difference either way. I thought my device seemed a little faster, more responsive and the extra ram freed is nice(consistently showing 300 to 380MB available now). I'm not sure exactly what "MLT" means(haven't been able to find out yet) but, at least it's nice to know that LG's spy app is disabled.
