How to disable the unlock to start android function

So a while back I activated a feature of android where it requires you to unlock your phone before starting android, thinking it would be a good idea. It wasn't. Now I'm not sure how to deactivate this oh-so-nifty feature. Anyone know how to do so?

I think it's android 6.
