how to download anroid apps using pc internet connetion

[Android Question]

I want to install android market applications using my PC internet connection. I dnt want to use my mobile internet. I have installed PC companion and connected the phone but when I try to install the market applications it says "This app will be downloaded to your device shortly" and nothing happens afterwards.

Is there any way I could perform this operation ?? Or any connection settings to be done. I am aware of the .apk file installations but I want to know about android market applications specifically.

Do you have WiFi for your internet? You can simply turn WiFi on in your phone and download apps.

Open the Menu.
Click Settings.
Select Wireless and Networks.
Here you can turn WiFi on.
