Help How to fix Android System from using up too much battery? GALAXY S5

Idk what is happening, I barely even use my phone and when I do the battery drains so hard. Why is Android System taking up 25%? Is this supposed to happen? What is going on?

Android system is simply providing services.

Facebook and its Messenger are notorious battery hogs - they're operating by calling system services in the most wasteful way and it's forcing constant connections.

The system is simply doing what it's being told to do - by Facebook and its Messenger.

Android isn't broken - Facebook is.

47% after 12hrs is pretty decent for a smartphone that's connected to LTE. You could use a battery saver app that intermittently turns off internet connectivity for a period of time, as that eats a lot of battery. Mobile data on uses as much as twice as much battery as mobile data off. I use GreenPower Premium. DuBattery Saver is also popular.
