I am running android 2.3.6
I am using the Imgur app, and the keyboard only opens when i go to search images. if i try to sign in or leave a comment, the keyboard doesn't open! as far as i'm concerned, opening the keyboard by holding down the menu button was a feature added in 2.3.7. if this is possible, i would really like to know.
