I would like to be able to force 2G only to conserve battery life on my Captivate when I don't need 3G data speeds.
Under Settings/Wireless and Network/Mobile Networks there used to be an option for forcing use of 2G networks only. This is missing on the Captivate menus.
I tried using Any Cut to set the preferred network type under phone info to GSM only, but it will not accept the forced condition.
Any suggestions?
