Help How to get rid of slide out bars on Nexus 6

[Android Question]

I have a Motorola Nexus 6 and there are these two small semi circular tabs that stick out from the right and left side of the screen, regardless of which screen I am at, and if I tap on an icon close to the tab, a black bar will slide out. Is there any way that I can get rid of those tabs?
