First. Hey everyone. Second. HELP!!! Third. If Anyone ever says 'download apps only from google play store cause their totally safe.' Need to keep their mouths shut. Back to Second. HELP!!! I downloaded two apps from google play store and opened first app (collage maker) a small flash on screen but nothing weird happened. Opened second app Kode browser, another small flash.everything else as normal. Went on Kode browser and after the excessive amount of ads started to put in a search and BOOM!! Everything froze for about 3 minutes, couldn't even turn off my phone. Then black screen and then.. you get the picture. I picked up something from one of the two apps from google play store. 99.999%. It's taken me 9 minutes for this message so far. What and where do I get something to kill, cage, rope, wrangle,or plain Stomp the hell out of it, antivirus app? And don't suggest google play store....

Well since you apparently prefer to rely on absolutes, than yeah, the Play Store isn't going to be 100% safe but it is by a wide margin much safer than just randomly installing APKs manually from random sources. If you're expecting other sources to be 100% secure in their downloads, well good luck with that.
But wherever you opt to install apps from, you still need to be cognizant and wary of what your install on your phone. Nobody can protect you from everything so try rebooting your phone into its Safe Mode, and then uninstall all the apps you suspect as being a problem. and don't just tap on the Uninstall button for those apps you want to remove, find the 'Clear data' button to remove all the app's settings/config/data/cache files, then tap on Uninstall.

As stated above, it isn't absolute, but it is way safer. Apps in google at least have to tell you their permissions, it doesn't mean apps don't abuse the permissions they are given. Google polices better, but nothing is perfect. :)

Reboot into safe mode, which will only allow system apps (preinstalled apps that came with the phone) to run. This will allow you to uninstall any apps that are making the phone unusable without them running.

Apps from F-Droid, if downloaded from the F-Droid app, are probably the safest.

That is because every app is recompiled by people at F-Droid first.
Every app is open source, and tells you the permissionns it needs..

As far as I know they have a spotless record.
