Maybe someone can help I have tried everything to gain root access. All the one click root programs and nothing is working. What can I do other than buy a new phone.

Hi I have rooted the z959. Search Android forums for write protection for ZTE devices. A thread will come up which will instruct you on a string of code to issue in adb. You will need to do that simple process before running kingoroot for PC which will give you temp root. The code in adb will remove write protection on the system partition. Install SuperSU from the play store, remove kingoroot's version of superuser. You are now rooted with full r/w capabilities.
