Help How to...Getting Rid of Google Pinyin Input

ADR2

Newbie
Hello, everyone. I have my first Android phone- a Coolpad Rogue (3320A) that runs Android v 5.1.1. I am learning my way around the phone, using the internet to determine how I may customize it to my liking.
One thing in particular that is frustrating to me is that I keep getting updates to an app that I don't even use or want on my phone and I cannot determine how to permanently uninstall it.
The name of the app is in the title, here.
If someone would kindly provide me a link or explanation of how I can rid myself of this frustration, I would be grateful. Thank you.

Coolpad being a Chinese phone, probably can't uninstall Pinyin Chinese inout, not without rooting it. Might be able to disable and hide it though, settings > apps > Google Pinyin > disable.

Thanks, mikedt. I did try that already. I've never rooted, yet, of course since I a newbee. But I may consider doing so. I figured what you've told me. I'll look around for a how-to-root for this phone. Peace!
