How to increase battery life on the Galaxy S

While the Galaxy S has an excellent battery life for a 4' Android device can anybody has idea to increase uptime without charging.

On my G2 I use DU Battery Saver as well as on my wife's HTC Desire 610.It seems to work well.

EDIT: And you can disable preinstalled apps you don't use.
