How to increase volume capacity?

I have a rooted Incredible and when I use my headphones it doesn't get loud enough so I was wondering if there's a way to increase the volume capacity? I've spoken to a couple of users on another forum who said they were able to do it but couldn't give me an exact explanation.

Get a headphone amplifier.

Maybe its just some hardware but my vibrant is insanely loud with or without headphones. The headphones can be so loud that if i turn up the inline volume all the way and let them dangle down under my chin I can still hear it clearly lol.

I got the hint and checked the mic control on my headset .... it was a low as it could go, now it's just right. Thanks again http://www.androidforums.com/images/smilies/eek.gif
