How to install .apk files on your Android Device?

Well, users who are using Android from a longer time may find this thread useless because they may know the content described in this thread. I'm posting this thread for new Android Users. New Android Users may not know how to install .apk files in their Android device on SD Card. Just follow the 3 simple steps given below and you'll be able to install any .apk file on your Android:

1.Copy the .apk file to your SD Card.

2. Get Astro File Manager from Android Market.

3. Open the file in Astro File Manager.

4. After finishing the installation, you can find your app just like any other app in your device.

interesting didnt kno astro could do that. i jus used an install app downloaded from the market

You can also install from cloud storage such as dropbox, sugarsync etc...very handy.

Yeah you're right my friend. Any file manager can do this, but as Astro is popular, so I used it for my elaboration.
