Lurker
I have HTC Aria, flashed room, rooted phone, 2.1 eclair..

I dont have the 'unknown source' option, im not usre how to install non market place apps..

anyone?

So you are rooted?
I don't own one of these phones or anything, but I will try to help you.
Install ASTRO File Manager from the market.
Browse to the .apk install file on your SD Card and then tap on it and choose open with App Manager or whatever it says and you should be able to install it.
Do you have a custom ROM flashed onto it.
From the custom recovery (Clockworkmod probably you flashed), you could flash the Liberated Aria ROM that is in Beta
ROM: Liberated_Aria (beta) - xda-developers
I am guessing this would allow you to install non-market applications, try what I said first though and maybe someone with this phone will come along.
Hope this helps.
