How to install Play store in HTC 606W which was brought in china?

Hi All,

I got a new HTC 606W in China without knowing that it does not have google play store. later came to know that Play store is blocked in china. is there any way to install play store in my device. finding it difficult to use the HTC market and other pre installed markets.

Hello, You may be able to side load the app: meaning search for and download "Play Store apk" from the internet. Get the file to your device, then using a File Explorer app, click on the apk file and it will prompt you to install.

However, Play Store is not compatible with all devices, mostly those with non-ARM processors.

If Play won't run on your device you may still be able to use the older Android Market app, which accesses the same store. You will have to search for how to get and install it. If you can't find info for your model you might try looking for info for the Nook Simple Touch which is reasonably popular and uses Market after rooting.
