How to LG G Stylo setting SD card for apps

Hello:

I am trying to use an LG G Stylo that is too complex for my mother-in-law.

I'm only using it for apps with WI-FI.

I do not want to root it or anything like that in case she wants it back.

It came from Boost Mobile and even though its not active, it still updates...the Boost stuff has taken up >50% of the internal memory. It had a 4 GB Micro card but it was always running out of memory when I installed apps .

I bought a 32 GB SDHC card and it shows up but the apps only install on the internal memory.

I just reset the device to wipe everything but still can't find a setting to use SD card for apps.

Any help would be appreciated...

Thanks

Wait what? You can install apps to the sd card? Can you please share how?

I didn't know it's normal for most things to NOT be stored on the SD card.

Changing the storage to SD card is apparently only for non-app purposes, like photos, video and contacts.

There must be a reason, maybe even a good one (or more) why they do this, but it's seems pretty useless to me. The 'phone' updates almost everyday using my WIFI despite having no service account...LG and Boost Mobile are loading it with up bloated updates. The internal memory is well over half full. Adding 32 gb to be able to store media used by an app seemed like a solution. I don't care if the app doesn't store there, but the media files (MP4, MP3) seem like ideal items for SD card storage.

The same app is available as a PC app directly from the publisher and the content is all accessible wherever I want to store it...internal or external hard drive & probably a removable memory device.

Oh, your question...I'm not sure whether it can be done or not...but I found two free apps on Google Play Store...
"Apps Movable" and "MoveToSdcard".

One tells me I can only move apps installed from the Google Play Store then completes the process kind of unclearly...not sure if it did anything or just indirectly told me I can't do that...but the app I want to move DID install from the Google Play Store. Afterward I can't find the app or the content on the SD card. I don't remember what the other did, but I think it didn't work.

I guess this is progress...I'll try it again when I have some time.
