Help How to lock folders on homescreen?

Is there any way to lock folders on the homescreen? I don't want anything like Hide It.

Is that lock as in can't open, can't change or can't remove? I'm guessing the former (in which case you will need some sort of app) but if not some launchers let you lock the desktop so it can't be accidentally edited.

Put a password on the folder.

Not sure how to lock the "folder" on a home screen, but you could lock each of the apps within it (or the apps needed to open the shortcuts within it) Apps such as AppLock by Domobile, or CM Security can do this quite well (free).
