how to lock volume control or delete screen shot

screen shot is death to my phone. it drops calls, wifi conection failure, doubles
messages an contacts. i cant delete pics, contacts they just pop back up. i have to hit the volume button to get phone back on. this the option use for the screen shot. im on my last nerve with this phone and service. if not fixed soon will
go to another provider.
