How to maintain Tasker profiles

I can make a Tasker profile change when the context conditions are met eg. I reach a certain location. My question is how do i keep the profile settings. Eg. If the ringer volume is accidentally changed by hitting the button, will it change back automatically, or is there a way to do that?
