How to make a Manual Update on Droid/Milestone

I want to update my Motorola Milestone, to version 2.0.1 but my service provider still not publish the server to do it OTA

There is a way to make the update/upgrade in manual mode? how?

I did the manual update on my Droid and it was fairly easy. That said, I am not so sure it will work on Milestone, since Milestone is GSM. I'm sure someone with more knowledge than I will pop in to confirm.

I wouldn't suggest it without someone saying it's possible, but there is a thread in the Droid forum detailing how to do the manual update...
