How to make my own SMS app az the default app

Hi all,

I have built an SMS application and install it on my HTC Hero. but whenever i receive an SMS i receive 2 copies.

How can I make this application as the default application to send and receive SMS.

when you get a text, it should ask you to check off which app you want to be default. Don't forget to turn default notifications off or you will have double notifications. To do this, go to default app, hit menu, then check the box allowing notifications
