I have been very successful at creating my own mods. I can not however for the life of me get my changes to Phone.apk to take affect. I am essentially just changing the color of some of the images in drawable-xhdpi. I have also replaced the image in TelephonyProvider.apk.
Both apk files have successfully installed to the phone via CWM, however even though I can extract the files and verify my new images are present, the phone still shows the stock images.
There has to be some way to replace these images. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have tried decompiling, recompiling, optimizing images, zip align and digially signing. All to no joy.
