how to move greyed out apps to sd card

On a non rooted phone I would like to know how to move apps that are greyed out to the sd card to free up base memory

As you may suspect, you'll have to root to move such apps to the SD Card.
The "greying" out of said apps is due to that these are "system" apps, which are incorporated into the phones operating system, which typically means that, w/o rooting, these apps are permanently installed on the phone.


Should you choose to root your phone, care should be taken to which apps are safe to move/delete.
