How to organize music in _my_own_ directories?

Hello all
I realized, that my device keeps all music in "Music" directory. Even if I mount it and copy music to another directory - it it automatically moved. When I move it back from file manager installed on my device - music player does not see my files any more. More over - it is not possible to keep music files in "Music" directory in organized tree, like this: Arist/Album/*.mp3.
It forces me to keep everything as one huge and horrible trash with everyting mixed together.
Is it any way to keep music in my way and make it visible to any player?

Hi froff. Welcome to AF. If you keep your music in sub folders of the Music directory they will be read. Try putting your tunes in this structure.. Music/artist/album/mp3
(example) SD/Music/Beatles/White LP/Rocky Raccoon.mp3
I like organization as well. I tossed all of my singles in the music directory and then under that folder I have folders of artists. Under the artists I have their LP's and under the LP's I have the tracks. I hope this helps

Ok, I'll try organize them using file manager on device. When I try to copy them as directories from PC, those directories are created but files are automagically moved to Music directory at top level. That is ridiculous.

Unfortunately solution doesn't work. Files moved to subdirectory of "Music" seems to be invisible for players. Player (original android player or winamp) still sees album but refuses to play any song.
I have no idea where are album files stored. Maybe it is a question of manual tweaking in config files containing information about albums.
My device is Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

Problem finally solved. There is strange issue with directories when phone is mounted with mptfs. Works much better using airdroid!
