How to PLay Music on My Droid Incredible 4G

I just purchased two phones: iPhone 4 for my wife and Droid Incredible 4G for me. The iPhone is so easy to use, sync with iTunes, and play music. The Droid is abysmal in the area of music playing, with no interface to make this function easy and NO instructions in the user manual. I have tried using "Backup Assist Plus" and that too shows no easy or perceivable way to get music on my device and play it back.

I opened my Droids disk and placed music (mp3) files in the Music folder. However, when I go to Music>My Phone, nothing shows! Can anyone give me a simple way to get this to work? All I want to do is put my mp3 albums on the device and play them, like I can so easily with my iPod and iPhone. Thyanks for any help.

I'm not sure why placing music on your Android via USB doesn't work but it does for everyone I know.

Also placing music on the Android phone via USB doesn't require opening up any other programs to sync music data, like you have to on iTunes, so I would say the Android way is the most user friendly, especially if you've used any kind of drag and drop user interface before.

If you need or prefer the iTunes way of syncing, you can even do that on Android too, I think k one of the names of the programs on the Google Play store which does that is Air Sync. Type "iTunes sync" into Google Play and you should find one.

Winamp should work for both it will sync via wifi so you can cut the cord no need to USB tether and i believe it will wifi sync your iPhone as well but it definitely will synce the iPhone w the USB connection. That would be my suggestion. Also Winamp has a large forum for support.

When I connect the USB to the Droid, a prompt comes up on the Droid display asking if I want to connect as, "Charge Only" or "Disk Drive." I choose "Disk Drive" and open the Droid to browse and then drag and drop music folders to the "Music" folder on the Droid. T tried this at first and the Droid saw none of the music files I dragged. But now it is working. Will experiemtn and report back with more info for those who may encounter the same issues.
