How to Play One Track at a Time?

DavyS

Lurker
I do a lot of DJing and entertainment events where I need to select and play individual music tracks from a list, i.e. when a track finishes the app does not start another one.
Does anyone know of an Android app that will do this. The simpler the app the better.

Welcome to AndroidForums DavyS!

I know exactly what you're asking but I haven't encountered anything which does that. This isn't to say what you're asking for doesn't exist, I just haven't seen it.

I'm an old guy who listens to albums so my use is different. Good luck!

I have found an IOS app "One Track Mind" which does this. The person could not find an app so had to write his own. Unfortunately not for Android.

The workaround is to use the 'My Files' on the home menu then you can see a list of music tracks in any folder. Tap one and the default music player app plays just that one track. Unfortunately 'My Files' does not display the tag info for each track - just the file name.
