How to put ringtones from a pc on a droid?

How do you exactly do this? Do I just plugin my droid to my pc and goto my computer and find a "ringtone" folder or something?...or are there any apps to get free ring tones = )?

You can copy the sound file (usually .mp3) and use dropbox, or email it to yourself, or use a wireless link through a file explorer, or through USB... place the file on your sd card in media/audio/ringtones.

There are plenty of apps to do this. The one I hear mentioned most is Ringdroid - Android app on AppBrain but personally, I don't use it so i can't say how well it works.

Any supported audio format file can be used as a ringtone. Simply copy it to your sd card into a folder called ringtones. (convention says media/audio/ringtones but the structure isn't necessary). If you can't find it, simply create one and the ringtone becomes available in the ringtone list.

I use Zedge to but u can get myphone explorer, this will run on ya pc and connect via usb, bluetooth or wifi to your phone. Then its like adding files to any folder on your pc.
