How to recover deleted whatsapp folder?

Hello guys. There were very important pictures and videos in my whatsapp folder on nexus 5.

I wanted to uninstall whatsapp temporary and this ridiculous app EsExplorer prompted to delete whatsapp folder believing a junk. I accidentally tapped on YES and boom. I lost all my important files from whatsapp folder. How to recover all files? I'm not worried about messages. Images are more important for me. Help me guys.

I have come to know many recovery tools but the problem I'm facing is that nexus 5 is shown up as "portable device" when I plugged it in my windows 7 laptop. So it doesn't have drive letter. No recovery tool is able to show that drive while giving a search for recovery

I encountered the same issue as you~ Somebody on androidforum recommend me to use Jihosoft Android Phone Recovery. Have anybody used this recovery tool before?

The more experienced users here have generally been very sceptical of all of these "phone data recovery tools". I've not tried one myself, but I am careful with backing-up stuff that's of any importance to me.

The one positive I can see is that that tool does want USB Debugging enabled - anything that claims it will work without that is certainly lying (or only works for stuff you can mount as USB mass storage, in which case you could just use ordinary file recovery software like Recuva). As for whether it works, I've seen some postings say it does, some say it doesn't, so at the very least it will depend on your device. And while the download is free, that doesn't necessarily mean it will be free to use, at least from some comments I've seen when searching for information on it.
