Hi all,
I have, for many years, done backups every night of my entire C: drive with Norton Ghost. I have restored the whole drive several times from them, too. Well, last week my PC (XP Home) died. So now on the new one (Win 7) I've recovered all that I've wanted to so far EXCEPT the dratted Outlook Express contacts.
Most of what I've read so far about that indicates a *.wab in the Identities directories but I have found none there and a couple I have found on the backups are not the latest version - I guess I had explicitly exported those at some time.
I've also found some things about Shared Contacts but nothing about where they are stored or any recovery mechanism.
It makes me so mad I could tear my Kleenex! I thought I would be able to recover anything!
I suppose I could make an image backup of the Win 7 PC, restore the old XP one & export the contacts, then restore the Win 7 one again. OR just stay on XP again
Any other ideas?
Cheers,
Jim
