Help how to remove a contact from my phone favorites

How do I remove a contact from my Phone "favorites" without actually removing them as a contact altogether?

I'm tired of looking at my ex girlfriends picture whenever I go into my phone favorites, but I don't want to remove her contact information entirely.

I'm running Android 5. 0. 2, which I believe is Lollipop.

Hi

With favorites open, long press the contact and select " remove from favorites" . Thats on my note2,it may vary on other phones.

unfortunately, when I do a long press there is no option to remove from favorites. the only option that looks similar to that is delete contact. And if I choose that, it removes the contact entirely (not just from my phone Favorites).

On my phone the process is:

Go to favorites
Long press contact
Select edit
Select groups
Uncheck favorites
Select ok
Select save
