Why this icon is showing on my each screen?

Some message app putting a floating compose button over your screen is my best guess.

It reminds me of Facebook's idiotic chatheads (or whatever they call it.) If you tap it, where does it take you? Most likely it will open the app that's generating and from there you should be able to access settings to disable it.

Who actually does like "chat heads"? I know my kids regard them with utter contempt, and I don't know anyone older who thinks any differently. My wife recently joined FB and the first thing my daughter did was tell her how to turn them off, before she'd even received any messages.
