How To remove icons from screen?

Floz313

Lurker
ok i know how to Hold down an icon and drag it into the trash but how do i delete it from the menu because it is getting way to cluttered and i have to many apps on the menu screen i would still like to keep the app but just remove it from the menu screen

^^Not quite true.

AdvancedLauncher gives you the ability to hide apps. The reviews seem to indicate it doesn't play well with 2.1, but if you're still on 1.5/1.6 it should work fine. Either way, it shows that it *is* possible, just not utilized very often.

There are a few home replacements that do it, but they are generally laggy/and or unstable, so they aren't included

Tapatalk. Samsung Moment. Yep.

I hate home replacements too, but you said it was "not possible," and it is. Some people don't mind home replacements.

Moreover, if you're rooted, you can replace your stock launcher with AdvancedLauncher (download from XDA). I used it for a long time, and it ran like a top.

IMO unstable launchers(across all devices) aren't viable options, nor would I point someone to something that FC's or lags up on a regular basis.

let them decide.... you simply said there was no way, and there is...

tag home will also let you organize your menu..... doesn't get rid of the app, but you can manage where it is, so you can more easily access your more used apps
