When I got my tablet, it had kind of a lot of bloatware, most of it I could delete, but a few I couldn't. In particular; this app called 'cz file explorer' and it's like a Chinese file manager that I can't delete. Any help?

There are two reasons you may be unable to delete an app:

1) It is set as a device administrator. Look in Settings > Security and you'll be able to find which apps have been set as device admins. If it's there, unselect it and you will then be able to uninstall it.

2) It's installed to /system. In this case you can only uninstall it if you are rooted, but you may be able to disable it (which has, in practice, the same effect: all data for the app are cleared, all updates are uninstalled, and it cannot run or update and is not using any user storage either).

Of course it may be that it's installed to /system and the manufacturer decided that it's so important they won't let you disable it. In that case all you can do is hide it from the app drawer (if you are using a launcher that allows you to do that) and ignore it, or root in order to remove it (if you think it's that important).

FYI the developer is Beijing Chaozhuo Technology Co., Ltd. that also goes by the name of "Phoenix Studio". You probably can't uninstall it, not without root. See if it can be disabled in Settings > App Management.

Is it a Chinese tablet bought cheap online and imported from China? If you just bought it, I recommend returning it for a refund.

No, it isn't from China and it was a good deal, it's a Lenovo 4 10 tablet

The app isn't even in app management, and yes, I did turn on show system apps.

If you can't see it in Settings > Apps at all then the only thing I can think of is that somehow it's appearing under a different name in there to how it appears in the app drawer.

I've met cases where a single app creates 2 icons in the app drawer with different names (the HTC Phone and People app are the same app, just opening on different tabs, and Google used to do the same with Maps and Navigator, where the latter just opened Maps in navigation mode), so conceivably it's something like that - though I can't think what the alternative entry point might be for a file manager.

Thanks for the help, but it isn't like it's the end of the world, I just wanted to know if I could. It's not like it uses up much storage or annoys me, unless you meant annoy as in it exists 😒
