How to retrieve deleted call logs history?

I really don't know of a way to get them back from a device that they have been deleted off of.
Years ago, the cellular provider would include a list of all incoming and outgoing calls with your monthly bill.
Perhaps if you contact your carrier, they can provide the info or tell you how to retrieve it.
