How to reuse attachments from one post in another post?

In the second linked thread, the attachments do not show as thumbnails, but as links - how can I go about fixing that (short of re-uploading the file)?

In the past I've just taken the image URL and put that in with IMG tags. Admittedly that's not going to save you much time over reuploading them though

I thought about doing that. I just don't want five copies of the same file on the server when one will do....

Not sure if AF has the option, but if you click User CP then user attachments (think that's what it's called) you can see everything you've uploaded as an attachment.

Alternatively, if you upload them to an album on the forum you can quickly and easily access them at any time (this is my personal preference).
