As of 6.0, the vast majority of devices require a bootloader unlock and a custom recovery for root, meaning you'd need a computer of some sort.
None of the one click root apps will work if your device is running 6.0 or above.

Just as important is the fact that most if not all of those root apps are not secure, and will mine the data on your phone sending it off to servers in China.
Unless you can find a vetted PC-based root for your device on a reputable site like this one or XDA, it is best to leave it alone and not attempt to root it. Also if you find and use a legit root created by a developer specifically for your model phone there will probably be support information available to help you with the process and deal with any issues that come up. With the universal "click to root" apps there is no support at all, if it fails you have a brick.
