I just got one of these. A friend gave it to me. There is no root method for this device on KitKat?
I've never owned an ZTE. It seems like a nice phone but has no memory. It would be great if I could uninstall system apps and use a partitioned memory card to move apps to.

Try CowROOT. Works on ZTE Avid Plus, has the same motherboard as the Trio
