how to run apps that are "not compatible"?

There are a couple of apps that are not compatible (per the Play store) but I suspect its just a testing issue. How can I fool an app into thinking my HD+ is another device, say a Transformer? Can I do it without rooting? Do I need to root to do it?

Thanks

Nothing without rooting . did u check the unknown source in the settings . if its checked nothing til you root

Thanks, that's what I figured. Guess I'll have to look into rooting. There are a couple of apps that I'd really like on here, but they are "incompatible". Guess root is my next step.

May I ask what are the apks . you never no someone may have had the problem and done the work for you .
