How to save data for an application(username/password)

Hello,
for Android 5.0
Same application on 2 phones, it has a username and password.. On one phone the login credentials are saved while on the other not saved.
I cleared its data & cache & re-enter them but still nothing. Any solution?

Could be the whatever it is app only allows one login on one device at a time?

No mikedt, i tested on other phones, you can switch between users. & it can save the data.

That's likely due to a preference setting...somewhere.

What app is it? And what version?

What manufacturer(s) and model(s) are the two phones?

Check the storage permission for the app on the 2nd phone.

James, the storage permission is on..Moody - all the phones are samsung same model but 2 android 5 & one android 6
It's working on 1phone 6 + one phone 5 but skipping the 3rd phone.
