all in common like usb plugs in to smartphones all the same in android market phones.

1: SD card class. Class 2 will be slow, while class 4 is faster. I don't think the phone has the hardware capacity to see a difference between class 6 and 10. This will affect things like accessing the card: gallery render, games saved on card, videos, etc.

2: Brands matter. Some brands are better made (they get corrupted less easily).
