hi folks, got a text of my girlfriend earlier, asking me to send her the phone number for my local taxi rank, and I couldn't find how to send a business card for the life off me! I just ended up memorizing the number..

Did I just over look it in the settings, out is it not an option on android 2.1?

I hope it is an option, cos it's a pain in the arse if not.

Cheers.

Looks to me like you can only share contacts via GMail or barcode, but then I've not researched it longer than 20 seconds :D

lol, it didn't seem right :o but every so often peeps do ask daft questions, guess this time it's me being the idiot

soupy runs off to google what a "business card" really is

Ha Ha!! Will this work for you?

Go to contacts, select the one whose number you wish to forward, go to edit contact, hard press the number you want to forward, choose "copy all".
Then go back to your text message, hard press in the text box, and choose "paste" and then send!!

Hope this is what you wanted - I'm gonna feel really stupid if it's not

Its easy, though a bit convoluted...Go to Menu and select People (its an app, like Google Currents, Youtube, etc.)..select the contact you want to share with someone, then tap the three vertical dots on the top right corner..you would find Edit, Share, etc...select Share. It gives you all the options for sharing your contacts (GMail, Text Message, Whatsapp, etc.)
