How can I set a custom notification sound on the Galaxy Tab S using an mp3 file?
I copied the file from my S7 Edge and it worked fine there. But the Tab S only shows a list of the built-in notification sounds
Thanks
That was it! I didn't even see the notifications folder before. The mp3 file has to be in the notifications file in order for you to set it. Use a file manager tool or a PC to copy it over, then you should be able to select it as a tone.
Tried this app and it does nothing on the Galaxy Tab. Maybe it only works on phones?Using an application called ringtone maker should give you the results you want
Hope this helps

Since I already have a ringtone I want to use, I don't see the benefit of downloading another app to do what I already have. But thanks for the tip. I will keep it in mind for future devices.Have you tried finding a ringtone similar to the one you want on the application called zedge. it provides multiple ringtones and notification tones for you to choose from completely free
