how to set different sound alerts for text and gmail

I get the samr sound alert for texts and emails.
I cannot see an option to select unique sounds for each. Is this possible? Thanks.

If the option isn't available on your device (which would normally be found in settings - notifications) you can install one of the many notification apps from the Google Play store.
