Help How to set gmail to ask for password each tome I sign in?

Hi, I am using an LG stylo 2V and it's running on android marshmallow. I think this problem is the same with any android phone that has a pre-install gmail app. I have this pre-installed gmail app in this cell phone. Once I sign in, it stays sign in and never ask you for password anymore. Is there a way to set gmail app to ask for password every time I check my email, like the one I have for desktop? I just want this function for gmail. Alternatively, is there a way to uninstall gmail app because it is a pre-install app. I can only disable it but not uninstall it. Thanks.

to disable it, go into Settings/apps/app mgr/ "mail" or gmail or whatever they call it, and click on "uninstall".
if it is part of the OS, it will just disable it but not uninstall it.

can't answer your other question on password.... it would bug me a lot to have to enter it every time, much better to just use a damn good unlock password on the phone.

The simplest way is to install an AppLock app, you can password protect any of your apps.

an AppLock app
Any recommendation for an AppLock app?

yes, it was part of the OS. I don't want to just disable it. I use gmail on my cell phone very rarely so I would like to be able to enter password every time I use gmail app for extra security.

Your gmail password is the same password you used to sign into the device. If you're worried about snoopers set a password protected lockscreen.

I tried a few and decided to stay with this one
