If you set the 'easy screen turn on' (under settings, accessibility, dexterity) that allows one to go from the AOD to lock screen by just waving your hand over top part of screen, I noticed that the iris infrared does not automatically come on. You can still unlock via PIN or fingerprint or touching the top to open the iris reader. Anyway to set so iris scan come on automatically if you use the 'easy screen turn on' ??

Iris scanner is separate from this because its a security feature.

You can set the iris scanner to unlock your phone every time you turn it on from screen of, as noted above.

Just because you are using this convenience feature in the accessory settings wont automatically turn on the iris scanner.

No. So, if you double click on bottom home button of AOD screen, the lock screen comes up with the iris reader immediately ready scan your eyes. But when you use a hand gesture over the top half of phone on AOD screen ('easy screen turn on setting' within accessibility-->dexterity) to get to the lock screen, you still have to click touch the top of lock screen, to get the iris reader to scan. So, anyway to change setting of the latter to act like the former??

You can bypass the lock screen if you prefer. It is a setting.

For example i hard pres the home button and go direct to the home screen
