Help pls... I have set my default mail app to update manualy, and it does... But i keep getting emails coming in from the Google Mail app.... There is no option inside the Google Mail app to stop, or set a time to download mail... Can i remove my mail account from the Google Mail app, and keep it in my default mail app, also if i remove my Gmail account from Google Mail, does it stop things like Sync etc.?

Go into the settings>accounts & sync>click on your gmail account>and untick the Gmail box.
