How?? I send myself e-mails occasionally and it adds my e-mail to the suggested contacts. Obviously, I know my e-mail so I don't really care. In addition, I really don't want other suggested contacts to sync, either.
It is well well annoying... Mine was going at it as well. You can go to gmail.com on your PC and click on contacts, if you click on my contacts there's a tick box you can - I think - untick and so it no longer auto adds suggested contacts. However, it still sticks them in the suggested contacts group.
I guess the work around would be to actually add your email address to your contacts (i've have to do that) and delete your suggested contacts every once in while...
hope that helps... a lot of people are complaining about the contacts section of Gmail feeling like an after thought rather than a well made application. to be fair, you can say release early and iterate all you want, its still a bit crap.
