Hi, I am new to all this and would like to somehow stop superSU from being uninstalled on a rooted phone running Android 5.1.1. I read online that moving an app to /system/app would do the trick but would doing this interfere how the app works.
The 'SuperSU Pro' version allows you to turn on 'Survival mode' in the Settings menu, where it will try to stay enabled after an OTA update. Also, it's been moved into /system on my S3 and the app has been working OK for me.
Under what situation does supers become uninstalled? After a restart? After a system update? I've never lost superuser unless the phone was updated to a different stock OS version.
